We are Bergen Grassroots, at the core of the progressive movement in Bergen County. In collaboration with antiwar groups in Leonia, Fort Lee and Teaneck and a progressive think tank in the northern sector, we work to bring transparency and accountability to government in the 70 municipalities, the county and the state.

• We work to implement reform at the state, county and municipal levels, to eliminate the culture of corruption ("pay-to-play") that make our taxes soar and that’s fundamentally immoral.
• We have consistently evaluated our nation's involvement in Iraq and Afghanistan and work to let our legislators know how we feel.
• We have supported single-payer health care reform and continue to monitor the legislative process for this vital issue.
• We actively support national movements to manage climate change, to create a green economy, and to protect our natural resources.
